questions about PAM 246 1/8 second Chrono?

Hi! Can anyone tell about this model? Movement details? ETA base? How hard is it to find nowadays? What was the MSRP? Has it appreciated? Why is it more "desirable" than the 214 other than being an L.E.? Anything will be appreciated... Thanks guys!

panerai 190 or 246

i have a chance to buy both of these watches but will only pick one. i like the 190 due to the gold hands and the JLC movement with the power reserve on the back. However the 246 is very interesting although i doubt i would really benefit from the 1/8 sec
